How to Restore Contacts Deleted from Your Android Device

Are you using an Android Smartphone? Do you have by mistake deleted all contact from the phone book of your android device? Don’t you have created a back up before? Wonder how to restore these contacts! Don’t worry. I have a solution for you. Generally, all android users should always create a back up for their android device. It’s strongly recommended since at anytime they might loose their valuable data devoid of any prior info. So from safety point of view, always create a full fledged back up for your Android. But in this case, you can restore your deleted contacts though you have not created a pre-back up for your device.

Wonder how! Very simple. You have to take assistance of your Google account. I mean you can never access to the Android platform in your device devoid of a Gmail account. No matter it’s the access of Google Play Store or any other Google related platforms, a Gmail account is a must to go through. How to Restore Contacts from Gmail

  • First of all, log into your Gmail account by using the User ID and Password that you used for logging into your android device.
  • Post login into your account go to the Contacts section that appears at the top left corner of your account.
  • From there click on the More drop down tab and there you will find the Restore Contacts section. Click on it and you will be prompted with a new window asking you the duration you want to restore your contacts. Either choose a give time duration or you might go for the default time option.
  • Now click on Restore  and within a few minutes all your lost contacts will be restored. The contacts will be downloaded to your Gmail account now and you will see a confirmation at the top screen of your window post the restoration is complete.
  • Now it’s time to restore these contacts to your Smartphone. To do the same you have to sync these contacts from your Gmail account to your Android device. To do so go to Settings => Accounts => Choose Your Google ID and sync contacts in your Android device.
