Update Galaxy S3 Mini with Official Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7 Firmware

The S III Mini smartphone recently got update with DXALL7 firmware. If you were not lucky enough to get over the air then here is the Odin procedure to get update. The users having problem in playing games on their Samsung Galaxy S III Mini I8190 then update it quickly. Through this article you’ll able to update the firmware easily by downloading few required files and hit the update.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini has 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 480×800 pixels. The device has 3G connectivity HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps and Wifi too. The NFC featured device also can share data through Bluetooth 4.0v and USB. It holds the 1 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor with NovaThor U8420. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean and now upgraded to 4.1.2 Android Jellybean.

Caution: Note that this DXALL7 update is straight offered by Samsung for us. Do not confuse it with beta custom ROMs rather get confirmed by yourself that its official update in manual way. We will pay no attention to damaged device owners because the entire process is their responsibility. We are only here to help to recover from damage if any. The far most important thing is that the device must not be rooted.

Requirement:

  1. Samsung Galaxy S III Mini I8190
  2. Computer (Windows XP or Windows 7)
  3. Original USB Cable
  4. Enable the USB Debugging by settings>application>development and tick the USB Debugging box and do not forget to untick the box when updation is finished
  5. Backup all the personal data such as SMS, MMS, videos, music, apps, contacts, messages, apps etc present in phone using backup app to avoide data loss
  6. Power up the device if battery is low and hence it must be 50% or more to avoid automatic shut down

Procedure to Update S III Mini with latest Jellybean 4.1.2

  1. First make sure the device is not rooted then make the backup. If it is rooted then you must not get the exact result or get. Its totally unexpected.
  2. Then download the DXALL7 Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware for S III Mini in computer and so as the Odin. Do not rename it.
  3. After that extract both the downloaded files in the computer and place them in desktop for easy finding while updating.
  4.  Switch off the device and press the VOL DOWN KEY+ OK BUTTON+ POWER BUTTON to land device on download mode. When a warning message appears press the VOL UP KEY to move further to next step. If you return back into normal mode then again try it.
  5. Now double click on Odin to launch it and then with the help of USB cable connect the device to computer. As soon as the ID:COM box in odin turns yellow indicating that the device is connected. If this doesn’t happen then you might not have enabled the USB Debugging (Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging) and KIES.
  6. Now select PDA and choose the tar file that was download and extracted by you in beginning. Go ahead and click on Start. The update procedure will start and will take few minutes. The phone will off and reboot automatically. Then unplug the cable and easy go with the official updated phone.

Check the firmware from about phone in settings. Well done, you have learned the procedure and now try updating your Samsung Galaxy S III Mini with official Jellybean 4.1.2.

      If you want to know about the latest update of Galaxy S3 Mini then the new Jellybean 4.1.2 DXALL7 Firmware rolls out the bug fixes and users troubling in playing games are fixed.
      The multi view feature is new feature available in Jellybean 4.2 and since the update is 4.1.2, you wont get multi-view window feature in it. Wait for the custom ROM that brings this popular feature for Galaxy S3 Mini.
