The new CBR650F is like smaller cousin of CBR250R. It is sporty and gives good performance and nifty handling to appeal to the racing fan in you. The good riding position and the frame and suspension are not too hard for daily riding or long distance riding. The front of the bike has been inspired from CBR600RR super sport. This bike is a new part of new 650 families and also has the naked version – the CB659F.

The CBR650F is powered by 650CC four-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 87bhp at 11000 rpm and maximum of 63 Nm torque at 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to six – speed gearbox with power transferred to the rear wheel via a chain drive. Honda claims that the engine is specifically tuned for low to – midrange torque and the entire power band is suited for a wide range of riding style.

Like the other sports bike, the CBR650F has digital speedometer, tachometer and the other instruments like clock, trip meter and fuel gauge. One of the obvious costs – saving measure with the new CBR650F is the use of steel frame. Rather than using round steel tubes, 67mm x 46mm oval tubes were selected. This allows for tenable flex with the tube being stiffer on the plane of the wider cross-section. The oval tubes also help to keep the bike’s profile as narrow as possible. The Forged-moulding pivot plates contribute to the strength and narrowness around the CBR’s waist, easing the reach to the ground from the 31.9 in seat.

Abbreviated tail section of the bike is sexier than the F3/F4 ever were. The candy Blue is especially striking. The matte finishes black 650F shows off the various curves of the bodywork in direct sunlight. The CBR650F will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Hyosung GT650R in the Indian Market but will get an edge over all the available bikes, thanks’ to its inline-four motor. The expected price is around Rs 8 lakh. The company will have to take a tough decision on how to price it for Indian Market.

So now it’s to be seen how much popularity this forthcoming venture of Honda gains in the Asian and European markets. What you think guys? Is this bike will be equally popular like its all other ventures! Forget not to share your valuable views.
