Triumph has launched Thunderbird LT at 15.75 lakhs in India

Triumph has launched a new motorcycle in India the Thunderbird LT. The Thunderbird LT is priced  Priced at Rs. 15.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), Company says that this the new bike is a ‘Light Touring’ cruiser and is ideal for long comfort filled rides.Triumph Motorcycles Ltd is the largest British motorcycle manufacturer which  was established in 1984 by John Bloor . India has a cruiser Thunderbird Storm which is priced at 13.50 lakh.

The Thunderbird LT  is powered by a huge 1699cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine  delivers a very high  93bhp of maximum power and  while a maximum torque of 151Nm. The Thunderbird Storm also incorporates the same engine. You will get a  Large 21.9-litre  fuel tank.

 The company says, “Built to impress over long distances, special attention has been paid to the LT’s riding position and wind management to allow the rider to arrive feeling fresh and relaxed at his/her destination.””Both the rider and pillion seats are made of a dual-layer, dual-density foam that is soft and pliant on the first feel but compresses to a firmer, more supportive resistance”

The Thunderbird LT sports many features that make it an ideal cruiser for long rides as claimed by Triumph . The thunderbird LT has got Ultra-wide wire-spoked wheels with the world’s first radial tyres. The bike offers Lower seat with extra 30mm of padding for comfortable rides. The riders will get quick-detach windshield, Shrouded forks,  detachable leather saddlebags and deep, custom-style mudguards. The seats come with dual layer foam and lumbar support to ensure maximum riding comfort. ABS-enabled four-pot Nissin callipers on 310mm floating discs up front and a single Brembo calliper and 310mm disc at the rear give sensitive, yet powerful, braking under all conditions.

The Triumph Thunderbird  LT is available in two colour options: Caspian Blue / Crystal White & Lava Red / Phantom Black. The bike is already on sale in several international markets.  Currently Triumph has 8 dealerships at various locations in India and it is going to open 2 new delaerships at Kolkata and Chandigarh this year.
