BMW Motorrad unveils Concept 101 Tourer

BMW Motorrad has unveiled it’s new the Concept 101 tourer. It is a bagger-style tourer is inspired from K1600 . The K1600 was showcased at the Villa d’Este concours event by Lake Como in Italy. If this Tourer hits the road then it will be pitched against the Honda Goldwing.

The Concept 101 Tour has a roaring 1649cc engine. BMW says that Concept 101 is the epitome of elegance, power and luxury on two wheels. Talking about the design and looks, the front trim in brushed aluminium is flatly integrated into the flow of the styling. The Bike gets a bold macho look from the integrated headlamp that gets a double circular appearance. There are Tailpipes on both sides and each of them has three outlets. At the back there is new rear light cluster with newly designed LEDs.

The BMW S1000XR was unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan last November. The S1000XR will hit the roads in the US very soon. The Bike has been priced at $16,350. The new S1000XR’s engine produces maximum of 160 horsepower at 11,000 rpm and peak torque of 82.6 pound-feet at 9,250 rpm. The compression ratio is a relatively moderate 12.0:1. The BMW S1000XR is inspired from the de-tuned version of the S1000’s 4-cylinder engine. It features oversquare bore and stroke measurements (80.0mm x 49.7) and it features 4 valves per cylinder that are set at a very narrow included angle. The bike has a top speed of over 125 mph. The electronic features of the BMW bike include Automatic Stability Control, with the optional Pro Riding Mode that offers Dynamic and Dynamic Pro modes, plus Dynamic Traction Control and ABS Pro. It also sports ESA electronically managed suspension and Gearshift Assist Pro.

BMW India is set to launch the upgraded 6 Series Gran Coupe in India on May 29, 2015. The car will be offered in Jatoba metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Glacier Silver metallic, Mediterranean Blue metallic and Melbourne Red metallic colours to choose from. On the exterior, the new BMW sports kidney grille design ,new front and rear aprons , full LED headlights and 20-inch light-alloy wheels. The six-cylinder engine variants will have larger exhaust pipe embellishers. Customers can also ask for the BMW’s Adaptive LED headlights with Selective Beam tech.BMW will be available in two engine variants, you have choose for either a six-cylinder inline or V8 with BMW’s Twin Power Turbo technology.
