Lava launches 5 budget smartphones starting at Rs 4000.

Lava has rolled out 5 new smartphones in its Iris range – Iris 250, Iris 404 Flair, Iris 400s,  Iris 410 and Iris 400 Colours starting at Rs 4000. Speaking on the launch, Navin Chawla, Vice President and Head, Product LavaInternational Ltd, said, “Lava has a vision to empower people with right kind of products to help them do more and be more. Given that bulk of the market is still driven by feature phones, through these values for money products, we aim to help the consumer upgrade to smartphone and realize the power of internet. These smartphones offer an enhanced browsing experience and also takes care of the entertainment/ connectivity needs of a customer who is upgrading to an entry level smartphone.”

The Lava Iris 400s Flair runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean. It features with a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) IPS LCDWVGA display .The smartphoneis powered by 1 Ghz processor has 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. The storage memory can be expanded by using a 32 GB micro SD. The smartphone sports a 5.0 megapixel camera on the back and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. The connectivity features includes GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth,FM, GPS and Micro-USB . The Iris 404 packs a 1400mAh battery.

The Lava Iris 404 Flair runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It features with a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA display .The smartphone has 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel  camera on the back.The connectivity features includes GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB . The Iris 404 packs a 1400mAh battery. The phone is available on e-commerce website at Rs. 4,199

The Lava Iris 250 also runs the  Android 4.2 Jelly Bean like the 400s. This smartphone comes with a 4-inch WVGA TFT (480×800 pixels) display. It is powered by  a 1GHz dual-core processor, has  512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable upto 32 GB via microSD card .It  has got a 3.2-megapixel rear camera compared to 5.0 of 400s and 404, it has  a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The smartphone packs a similar 1400mAh battery.

The Lava Iris 400 colours runs on the Android 4.4 kitkat out of the box. This smartphone comes with a 4-inch WVGA TFT (480×800 pixels) display. It is powered by  a 1GHz dual-core processor, has  512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable upto 32 GB via microSD card .It  has got a 2-megapixel rear camera,  has  a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The smartphone packs a 1400mAh battery as its power source. The smartphone has got sensors which include gyroscope, proximity and accelerometer. The phone has got Bluetooth, Wifi , FM amomg others as the connectivity options. It is available at Rs 6500.

The Lava Iris 410 also runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The smartphone sports a 4-inch display. The budget phone is powered by  a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage which is  expandable upto 32 GB via microSD card. The smartphone features a 3.0-megapixel rear cameraand  a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera. The lava Iris 410 packs a  1700mAh battery which is comparatively bigger than other models. Iris 400s, Iris 250, and Iris 400 Colours have 3G connectivity while the Iris 410 and Iris 404 Flair only support 2G.
