Lenovo has rolled out its new voice-calling tablet in India, the Tab S8, This tablet was introduced at IFA event this year by the firm. Currently, this device is being offered in Ebony colour.
Speaking on the launch, Rohit Midha, Director, Tablet Business Unit, Lenovo India said that it was a tablet for users who wanted to make a bold statement everywhere they went. S8’s user-inspired design and performance was a fine example of Lenovo’s investment in innovation that differentiated their products and had set the standard for quality, reliability, style and speed. S8 Tablet offered double the excitement as it was equipped with Intel Atom as well as launched exclusively on the India’s e-commerce portal, Flipkart.
The Lenovo Tab S8 features an 8-inch WUXGA (1920×1200 pixels) IPS display that comes with One Glass Solution touch-panel technology and it offers a pixel density of 283ppi . The tab has got dimensions 209.8×123.8×7.9mm and weighs 299 grams. The Lenovo tab S8 device supports Single SIM and is powered by Intel Atom Z3745 processor (4 threads, 1.33GHz base clock, up to 1.86GHz) . It is coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Tab S8 tablet has 16GB of inbuilt storage which is believed to be non expandable.The Tab S8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The Tab S8 features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera (f/2.2 lens) with an LED flash and BSI 2 sensor. The users will also get a secondary 1.6-megapixel HD fixed focus front-facing camera. The Lenevo Tab S8 tablet gives great audio with its dual front-facing speakers that are powered by Dolby Audio. The connectivity features of the Lenovo Tab S8 includes 4G LTE, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA+ ,Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB and Bluetooth 4.0 . The Lenovo Tab S8 tablet is powered by a non-removable 4290mAh Li-ion battery that is credited to deliver up to 7 hours of usage time and up to 396 hours of standby time.
The tablet has been priced at Rs. 16,990. The Lenovo Tab S8 will be exclusively available via Flipkart .The Lenovo has also launched its K3 smartphone which features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi. It measures 141×70.5×7.9mm. The Lenovo K3 is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Lenovo K3 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a secondary 2-megapixel front facing camera. It is pawered by a 2300mAh battery.
