Microsoft has started rolling out the new Denim Windows Phone 8.1 update for all the supported Lumia devicesin India and Europe. The update is arriving with many new improvements mainly in the camera features. The update was rolled out to some devices in China and now the new update has started rolling out in Europe and India. The update has started rolling out to the Lumia 520 and 525 in India and is expected to soon arrive on other handsets as well.
The Windows Phone 8.1 Denim update will bring the following new features :- The new Faster photo snapping feature will arrive in the device but, the feature will not be available on Lumia 1020, Lumia 920 and Lumia 925. The upgraded device will have a better and faster Lumia Camera app. There is Rich Capture – Auto HDR and Dynamic Flash in the update. The update will bring Moment Capture feature shooting 4K@24fps videos which is sensor dependent. Improved image processing for even better photos. The Denim update will feature “Hey Cortana” – voice activation for Lumia 930, Lumia Icon and Lumia 1520 devices. Users will get better Glance Screen with Bing Weather, Bing Health & Fitness after upgrading the device.
The new Denim update will be arriving to the following devices:Lumia 520 , Lumia 525 , Lumia 620 , Lumia 625 , Lumia 630 , Lumia 630 Dual SIM , Lumia 720 , Lumia 820 , Lumia 920, Lumia 925, Lumia 1020, Lumia 1320 and Lumia 1520. Microsoft had launched its 4G smartphone in India called the Nokia Lumia 638. This phone was first launched in Chinain the month of June.The smartphone has been Priced at Rs. 8,299. Customers can own their Nokia Lumia 638 from the company’s newly launched Microsoft Brand Store on Amazon India.The Nokia Lumia 638 sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) ClearBlack LCD display, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The display offers a pixel density of 221ppi. The Lumia 638 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC and is coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 8GB of built-in storage which can be expandable upto 128GB via microSD card . The camera features of the handset includes a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera. There is no no front-facing camera in this phone. The Lumia 638 houses an 1830mAh battery. The handset runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update.
