Samsung launches Galaxy Alpha in India at Rs 39,990

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone in India at Rs 39,990. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha, arrives  with a dazzling and well crafted high quality metal frame . Samsung has announced that Galaxy Alpha will be offered in  Dazzling White,Charcoal Black and Frosted Gold colour variants for the Indian costumers.

The new Samsung  galaxy alpha  sports a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720.Samsung Galaxy Alpha is the thinnest galaxy smartphone which is only 6.7 mm thin. The phone stands 132.4 mm tall and 65.5 mm wide. Galaxy Alpha is also light weighing in at 115 grams. The Galaxy Alpha also comes with fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor. The smartphone has a private mode that  keeps the personal information secure and  hidden in a secret location. It can be accessed by the swipe of your finger only.

It is powered by Exynos 5430 Octa chipset with quad-core 1.8 GHz CPU and quad-core 1.3 GHz CPU, itcomes loaded with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of storage space and that  is non expandable. Connectivity features of this expensive Samsung device   include Micro-USB, Bluetooth, NFC,Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G/ LTE.

It features a 12MP rear cam and a 2.1MP front selfie shooter. It features an advanced camera that  ]gives you with real-time HDR that that will enable you to click bright and vivid shots even in tricky lighting conditions and it has got Ultra power saving mode to let you use the phone for a longer time. The phone runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and has TouchWiz UI on the top. This high end smartphone packs  a 1,860 mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving mode that lowers the battery consumption by shutting down unnecessary functions running on your smartphone..

Samsung has confirmed that  the new  Galaxy Alpha is compatible with 4G/ LTE bands in India .The Samsung Galaxy Alpha  will be available in India starting first week of October .

Samsung had recently  introduced a Power Sharing Cable that lets you charge any device that supports charging via Micro-USB option. You can use to to transfer charge from some of the slected Galaxy smartphones/tablets. The samsung cable is priced at $19.99 (approximately Rs. 1,220). You can download the dedicated Galaxy-only Power Sharing app from Google Play and select the amount of power you want to transfer from your tablet or smartphone to the required device. Samsung says that you can also transfer charge without using that app.
