How to flash Android 5.0.2 Snapshot ROM on LG Optimus G Pro

Recently, the LG Optimus G Pro is readily available to receive a brand new Custom ROM called the Android 5.0.2 Snapshot Custom ROM and you can flash this ROM on your Smartphone if you are worried of the existing Custom ROM on your device. This Custom ROM will enrich your handset with the Lollipop features that are the best in the present Android scenario.

You must be thinking how to flash the Custom ROM on your LG Optimus G Pro? It’s not that much difficult as it appears. I shall guide you through the steps here to flash the Android 5.0.2 Snapshot ROM on your LG Optimus G Pro. But before starting the update, you need to fill the pre-requirements. Let’s have a look on the same.

 Pre-requisites

  • A LG Optimus G Pro
  • A computer to download required files
  • One original USB cable
  • Installed USB drivers for LG Optimus G Pro

Also,

  •       Enable the USB debugging option.
  •       Keep your phone fully charged or at least maintain a minimum charge of 80% in it.

Downloads

  • Android 5.0.2 Snapshot ROM
  • Google Apps package

 Procedure

  • Connect your LG Optimus G Pro to the computer using a USB cable.
  • Then, transfer the Android 5.0.2 Snapshot ROM .zip file And Google Apps package to the SD card of the LG Optimus G Pro.
  • Next, switch off your smart phone.
  • You can now disconnect your LG Optimus G Pro form the PC.
  • Now, boot it in the Recovery mode by pressing and holding down the Volume up, Home and power button at a time still the screen appears.
  • Next, choose the ‘wipe cache partition’ option from the main menu of the LG device.
  • Then choose ‘install zip from SD card’ and search for the Android 5.0.2 Snapshot ROM .zip file and the Google Apps package from the SD card of your smart phone.
  • Install them on your LG G Optimus G Pro one after another.
  • Finally, return to the main menu of your LG G Optimus G Pro and select Reboot your device.
