Mahindra XUV500 facelift to be launched on May 25

Mahindra and Mahindra is known for its tough range of vehicles like Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Bolero and Mahindra XUV 500. The firm is all set to bring the facelifted version of XUV500 on May 25, 2015 . It has released a teaser on its website with tracker displaying the remaining time to launch. The new facelifted model is supposed to be more stylish and at the same time offer more comfort to he passengers.

Here are the features that we expect in the facelifted XUV500. There are some changes in the interior, the central console. The touchscreen is expected to be larger and the upgradation in the  infotainment system. On the exterior , the front bumper has been refreshed and it sports wider air damps with chrome housing on fog lamps .The SUV will feature ‘S’ shaped LED inserts in headlights, new honeycomb mesh grille with black slats and chrome highlights. We also expect that the SUV will hit the roads with new set of wheels with 10-spoke alloys.

Everything under the hood is expected to be the same, XUV 5OO facelift will be powered by the same 2.2-liter mHawk, direct-injection Variable Geometry Turbocharged (VGT) diesel engine. The 2179cc powerplant churns out a maximum power of 140 bhp @ 3750 rpm and a max torque of 330 Nm in-between 1600-2800 rpm. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission system.

Tata has rolled out the Nano Genx car with AMT . Under the hood, the Tata Nano Genx is equipped with a 624cc MPFI Dual cylinder petrol engine that delivers a maximum power output of 38.1 bhp.  The Tata Nano Genx’s engine is mated to a AMT gearbox. The AMT variant gives an economy of 21.9kmpl. The Genx  sports  a new and upgraded power steering wheel, the car has an audio system with four speakers, bluetooth, USB and AUX-IN support. There are safety features like    central Locking with remote, burglar Alarm. Other basic features in the car include air Conditioning, front power windows, multi Information display (MID) which displays digital Clock, dual Trip meter, instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption (Dual), Distance-to-empty,gear Indicator and Multi-mode indicator and Twin gloveboxes. The Nano GenX sports glossy black applique with engraved  Tata logo, new similing grille and smoked headlamps. At the back, there is a new openable boot and a redesigned bumper. There is difference in boot space in AMT and Manual variants, the manual transmission variant offers a boot space 110 litres while the AMT has 94 litres.
