Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has rolled out the limited XUV500 Xclusive Edition at a price of Rs 14.48 Lacs (Ex-showroom, Mumbai). Speaking on the launch of the XUV500 Xclusive Edition, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said that they were pleased to introduce the ‘XUV500 Xclusive Edition’. Being a customer centric organization, they had launched that model basis feedback they had been getting from their customers. The Mahindra XUV500, with its winning combination of aspirational styling, advanced technology, safety features, comfort and convenience was already a game changer in the premium SUV segment. The XUV500 Xclusive Edition would create a new benchmark in premiumness and exclusivity, to further enhance the XUV500’s appeal among their customers and fans.
The engine on the XUV500 Xclusive remains same old one. It is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk engine that delivers a maximum power of 140bhp and a maximum torque of 330Nm. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission system.
On the exterior, the Xclusive edition gets new grey alloy wheels, electric sunroof, convenient reverse camera, illuminated scuff plates and anti-pinch driver window, Static-bending projector headlamps with LED parking lights Power-foldable and adjustable ORVMs.
Speaking of the interior, the SUV is rich with luxury. It has got 6” (15cm) touch screen Infotainment System with GPS, DVD, CD, MP3, FM, USB, iPod connectivity, 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat (optional), Automatic Climate Control with dual HVAC, Voice Command, Cruise Control, Multi-Function Steering Wheel, Smart Rain & Light sensors. The Mahindra SUV has Tyretronics which, is a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) and Intellipark i.e a Reverse Parking Assist System to give you a hassle free parking experience. Apart from these there is oice messaging system and sporty aluminium pedals,
The SUV is loaded with safety features like 6 Airbags (front, side and curtain), ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Rollover Mitigation. It also has disc brakes and tubeless tyres. The XUV500 can race0-60 km/h in 5.4 seconds and 0-100 km/h in 12.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h. It offers a mileage of 15.1 km per litre (as per ARAI test), and 13.8 km per liter in city. The Xclusive edition is only available on the high-end variant W8 .There will only be 700 units of this limited edition on sale.
Mahindra XUV500 received ‘Total Customer Satisfaction Award’ from TNS Automotive. The XUV500 was initially launched in two versions sharing the same engine; the W6 in two-wheel drive only and the W8 which can be specified in two- or four-wheel drive. The XUV 500 was launched in the year2011. The XUV500 was created at Mahindra’s design and vehicle build center in Nashik and Chennai.
