Micromax has now launched a selfie focused smartphone. We now see people clicking selfies at every place. Everyone wants to be the part of this new selfie culture. The Canvas Selfie smartphone has the answer to this. The Micromax Canvas Selfie has been priced at Rs. 15,999 in India. It features a faux leather rear finish. The handset will be offered in Mystic Blue and Angelic White colours.
The Micromax Canvas Selfie sports a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 scratch protection. The Canvas Selfie is powered by 1.7GHz octa- processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Micromax Canvas Selfie includes 16GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It is backed by a 2300 mAh battery which gives 8.5 hours of talk time and 198 hours standby time. The sensors inside this device are light sensor, gravity sensor and proximity sensor.
The smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM). The Micromax Canvas Selfie sports 13-megapixel front camera with LARGAN lens and Sony sensor with Soft Flash, it features 13MP AF Rear Camera with LARGAN lens and Sony sensor with Dual LED Flash. It comes with few inbuilt camera tools such as teeth whitening, remove oil, fade dark circles, eye enhancement, face slimming, skin smoothening and make-up. Now, let’s see how these features help you get an enhanced selfie. ‘Eye Enhancement’ makes eyes bigger & brighter, ‘Face slimming’ gives high cheek bone effect & rids away double chin, ‘Skin Smoothening’ remove blemishes, ‘Teeth Whitening’ can be used for whitening teeth and ‘Remove Oil’ tool will get rid of the oil patches. Earlier, Micromax had launched the Canvas Pep, at Rs. 5,999. It comes with a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA display.It will be offered in Pristine White and Mystic Blue colour variants. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The dual-SIM Micromax Canvas Pep runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It sports a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash, there is also a 1.3-megapixel front-facing digital camera. The connectivity features of the Micromax Canvas Pep include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE and Bluetooth options. The smartphone is backed by a 1700mAh battery, which is credited to deliver up to 210 hours of standby time.
