Panasonic launches Toughpad FZ-E1 and FZ-E2

Panasonic has lauched the new Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1 tablets. Both Toughpad FZ-E1 and FZ-X1 tablets were launched at MWC this year. Both the Toughpad FZ-E1 and FZ-X1 tablets meet the MIL-STD-810G standard, feature an IP65/IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and have been drop-tested from a height of 10 feet. The company has also unveiled the semi rugged Toughbook CF-54. What are Toughpads and Toughbooks ? These mobile computers designed to hold against drops, spills, vibration, extreme temperature, and rough handling. They are used in various fields of industries, including emergency services, construction, defense, government, healthcare, law enforcement, oil & gas and manufacturing. They can be used in challenging environments without having any fear of getting damaged.

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-E1 runs Windows Embedded 8.1. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,19,000. The Toughpad FZ-E1 is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AB) processor. The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-X1 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and can be purchased priced at Rs. 1,09,000. The Toughpad FZ-X1 is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro (APQ8064T) processor.

The new Panasonic Toughpads share rest of their specifications. Both the toughpads feature a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display. They feature 2GB of RAM. They offer 32GB of built-in storage, which is expandable storage via microSD card. The come with an 8-megapixel rear camera along with flash. They have a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.; The connectivity options of the Panasonic Toughpads include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, HDMI. They are backed by a 6200mAh battery.

The Toughbook CF-54 PC is priced at Rs. 1,39,000. The Toughbook CF-54 will be offered in various variants including gloved performance model, multi-touch model, and prime and lite variants. The Toughbook CF-54 meets the MIL-STD-810G standard. It sports a 14-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by fifth generation Intel Core i5-5300U vPro Processor (3 MB cache, 2.3GHz up to 2.9GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology). It will be offered with memory options of 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB RAM configurations. It will come with a 500GB of storage space. The new Toughbook offers dual drives too. The Toughbook CF-54 offers has connectivity options such as, 4G LTE mobile broadband with satellite GPS, dedicated GPS, antenna pass-through, and insert-able and contactless SmartCard readers. The toughbook also comes with an optional second battery with hot-swap. You need not shut down or hibernate to change the battery.
