Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Starts receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in Canada

Before we had informed you the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was expected to receive the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update by the end of 2013 and now we are in news that the update is being pushed right now to the Canadian variants of Galaxy Note 2 via Air. As per the information, the Canadian unlocked variants of the device the Videotron Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T999V and the Mobilicity Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889V have already started receiving the OTA update. So, if you are a Canadian Galaxy Note 2 user and want to update your device with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, then you must visit the notification panel of your device to check the update.

Since the update is being sent to devices in phases, so all devices are not liable to get the update at a time and hence you must not get worried if you have not received any notification yet. Still you can check for the update manually after using the said process. To check the OTA update manually on your device you must go through Settings => About Phone => Software Update and check the update after connecting your device to the PC via USB cable and using the Samsung KIES.

However, while the South Korean manufacturer didn’t provide any official changelog for the update the personnel at SamMobile managed to initiate that the firmware update will accompany both TRIM Support & Galaxy Gear along with updated GPU drivers, superior RAM management & Samsung KNOX. Apart from this, the software brings some decent features such of the Samsung Galaxy S4 such as the new Samsung keyboard, Adapt Display, new lockscreen with multiple widgets, Professional Photo, , Driving mode, Daydream and Actionable notifications.

The update too supports the full-screen Samsung apps, New Samsung S-Voice, revised Calculator, Contacts, tabbed interface for the Settings menu, Gallery, Clock, Music apps, and numerous improvisations and bug fixes.
