Sony’s New Flagship Xperia Z4 goes Official

The previous month only Samsung and HTC had ornamented the Smartphone world with their new flagships Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9. Craze for both the devices still sustain among the Smartphone lovers whilst we find Sony, another big Player in the Smartphone world has just launched its 2015 flagship. The flagship is named as Sony Xperia Z4 and is supposed to stand a strong contender to the flagships of Samsung and HTC.

This is a trick played by Sony to make its handset more approaching among users. Last month while Samsung and HTC launched their flagships, we found that Sony remained mum just launching its mid-ranged handsets Xperia M4 & Xperia Z4 tablet. And when the flagships from both its contenders have played their game, Sony launched the Xperia Z4 to grab the public attention. So now the Xperia Z4 is purely official after it got unveiled in a press meet yesterday in japan.

Now peeping through the features and look, the flagship resembles a lot in outlook and texture to its predecessor, the Xperia Z3. The handset is both waterproof and dustproof with IPX5/8 and IP6X ratings and will be made available in 4 colors i.e. Black, White, Aqua Green and Copper. The handset will be available in both front and back glass panels.

Among the technical features, the Sony Xperia Z4 comes featured with a 5.2 inch IPS display Full HD resolution with 1080×1920 pixels, instead of the Quad HD resolution like LG and Samsung. Besides, it packs a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core SoC processor clocked at 2.0GHz + 4 Cortex A53 cores @ 1.5GHz  with an Adreno 430 GPU. For memory, the Xperia Z4 supports 3GB of RAM, 32GB in-built storage space and an expandable memory support of 128GB via microSD card.

For capturing crystal clear images, the Xperia Z4 packs a 20.7 MP camera with 4K video support and 5.1 front cam with wide-angle lens. For connectivity reasons, the Xperia Z4 packs Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, WiFi, a cap-less microUSB port, with 4G LTE support. What’s heard from the official sources, the new flagship will run the Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. From an absolute measurement point of view, the device is 146 mm in height, 7.2 mm wide, only 6.9 mm thin, and weighs just 144 grams.

However, it’s not revealed yet when the device will be made available for purchase and at what price. Stay tuned. We shall let you know as soon we get any update on the same.
