The Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the highly-anticipated handsets in the global market as it is in news to be manufactured with a number of high-end specs that the common day youth generally search for. Besides, this Smartphone is rumored to become the first Snapdragon 820-powered device to go on sale. Before it was hyped to become the first device to carry Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 820 SoC. But this distinction was occupied by the LeTV Le Max Pro that was launched at the CES 2016. But because the Le Max Pro is yet to go on sell and it’s availability and pricing details are yet to get revealed, so Xiaomi Mi 5 can yet occupied the position by launching earlier.
But whilst all speculations were pointing that the Xiaomi Mi 5 might get launched somewhere in mid-February, but this expectation is no more valid as the Xiaomi co-founder and company senior vice-president Liwan Jiang lately wrote in his Weibo account that the Smartphone will be officially made available to the public on 24th February. Before the Company VP had already confirmed that the Smartphone would be made available to public after the Chinese Spring festival, but the date was yet to be revealed. But after revelation of the date, it seems that the Smartphone will take a more couple of days to go on sell post launching.

Moving to the dynamic specifications &features of the Xiaomi Mi 5, it’s assumed to pack a 5.2-inch display in both 1080p and Quad HD variants. Besides, it’s heard that the Quad HD display variant will carry a premium all-metal build whereas the 1080p display variant handset will feature a metal and glass build. Both the handsets will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and will pack a 16MP primary camera. The Smartphone is supposed to pack an 8MP front camera for shooting selfies and video call. Both the devices will also pack a finger-print censor in the front panel for additional security purpose.
