Tata Hexa and Tata Bolt Sport concepts unveiled

Tata Motors has unveiled two new concepts at Geneva Auto Show 2015. The Tata Hexa and Tata Bolt Sport are next-gen versions of the Tata Aria and Tata Bolt respectively. We see that Tata is looking forward to build more sporty cars to compete against other automobile makers. We had recently seen Tata launching Bolt with Multidrive.

Now lets talk about the Bolt Sport. The Bolt Sport sports a tweaked 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron engine that churns out 120PS of power and 170Nm of Torque. The increased power and torque is catered by redesigned exhaust and remapped ECU. The gear ratios too have been changed. Tata Bolt concept is now fitted with disc brakes on all the four wheels for enhanced safety. There are no details when the two concepts will be put in production.

The Tata Hexa is devised on the Tata Aria’s frame. It sports wheel arches, silhouette, ORVMs and twin exhausts. We also see that it has new designed grille, headlamps. Tata Hexa will be getting 19-inch wheels. We also see a upgraded cabin over the Aria with ambient mood lighting, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system six seats, dual tone upholstery comprise the prime highlights in the cabin and SUV-inspired split tail lamps. There is no change in the powerplant of this machine. The Hexa features the same 2.2-litre engine as that in new Aria. This engine delivers 400Nm of torque and 157PS of power. The Hexa was revealed with a manual transmission.

Tata Motors has launched a base variant of the power-steering equipped Tata Nano Twist model. The pocket friendly Tata Nano Twist XE variant has been priced at Rs 2.09 lakh. The Tata Nano Twist XE is powered by a 0.6 litre 4 valve petrol engine churning out a maximum power of 37.5bhp and the highest torque stands at 51Nm. It sports MPFI fuel supply system. The engine is coupled with a 4- Speed gearbox. The exterior features of the Nano Twist XE include all black front and rear bumpers, halogen headlamps, tinted frontwind shield, outer rear view mirrors and door handles. The interior features of the Twist XE are an Ebony black dashboard, basic fabric seats, electronic multi trip meter, digital odometer, power-steering and air-conditioning. It also includes low fuel warning light, height adjustable front seat belts. The car features drum brakes at front and rear wheels. The car is fitted with tubeless tyres. The new Tata Nano Twist XE is being offered in three body colours – Meteor Silver, Royal Gold, and Serene White.
