It seems Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) is not done with slashing the talk time benefits and data usage benefits. According to sources, MTNL Mumbai has again reduced the data & talk time benefits on some selected prepaid tariff plans. The 3G prepaid tariff plans priced at Rs.22/- and Rs.76/- were earlier offering 100 MB and 350 MB data usage, respectively, which has now been reduced 75 MB and 300 MB with the same validity period. Until October last year, the Rs.22/- and Rs.76/- data packs were offering 250 MB & 1 GB of data usage, respectively and thereafter first revision was made and now it’s the second.
The 3G data pack of Rs.22/- for prepaid customers was earlier offering 100 MB of data usage subsequent to the first amendment which has now been further reduced to 75 MB with the same 1 Day validity period. While on the other hand the 3G data pack priced at Rs.76/- was earlier offering 350 MB of data usage and now it has been reduced to 300 MB with a validity period of 7 days. Here are the details:

In case of Talk times, the matter is same as well. The top up voucher of Rs.50/- that was offering Rs.41.8/- of talk time is now offering Rs.41.5/-. And the Rs.100/- and Rs.500/- top up vouchers were earlier offering Rs.87/- and Rs.515/- of talk times and now Rs.86/- and Rs.500/-, respectively. Moreover, the national SMS charges has been raised from 50 Paise to Rs.1/- under the Rs.46/- and Rs.48/- tariff plans. The details are tabled below:
