ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini launched in China

ZTE has launched new Nubia series smartphones, the Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini in China. ZTE’s Nubia Z9 Max sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It offers support for  dual Nano-SIMs. It is powered by an (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz ) octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor. This handset comes equipped with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It offers an internal storage of 16GB which is further expandable up to 128Gb via microSD card. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, MHL 3.0, USB OTG and Micro-USB. The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Nubia UI 2.8.

 Speaking about the camera features, the handset features high quality shooters.  The handset sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Users will also get to click quality selfies with an 8-megapixel front camera that comes  with a f/2.4 aperture. The handset is backed by a 2900mAh battery. The ZTE Nubia Max has been priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 25,100). It will be available for purchase starting April 16.

Now, let’s talk about the other smartphone i.e. the Nubia Z9 Mini . The smartphonehas a smaller screen, which is 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display than the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max. It comes with a pixel density of 441ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 1GHz) processor. It comes with  a 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The rest features of  ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini are identical to that of the Nubia Z9 Max. It is backed by the same 2900mAh battery. It also offers 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It comes with Dual SIM support . The Z9 Mini sports the  same 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor, LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture and  8-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nubia UI 2.8.

Comparing these two smartphones we see that the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini has a smaller display, less powerful processor and a smaller RAM that the Nubia Z9 Max. But talking about affordability the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini wins the race.  It is priced at at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 15,000). The smartphone will hit the markets starting April 2. Currently, we have no official reports on the global availability of the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and  ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini.
