Rooting by using Magisk root method

It is advance method that will help you to receive the OTA update

  1. First download the latest Magisk App/ Zip file on your phone
  2. Then save the zip file into internal storage
  3. Make sure the custom recovery is installed on your phone
  4. Now put your Redmi 9 to recovery mode by pressing volume down and power button at the same time and release when you see the boot animation
  5. Tap on install from TWRP recovery page
  6. Install from TWRP recovery page recovery page then locate the Magisk.zip file
  7. Then select the zip from the internal storage
  8. After that tap on swipe to confirm flash
  9. Then flash the Lazy flasher zip file, or else the phone will not boot normally
  10. Now reboot your device
  11. Once the phone is booted install Magisk Manager APK.

Root Redmi 9 by SuperSU

This is a common routing method where you need TWRP recovery or any custom recovery.

  1. First download the SuperSU zip file on your phone
  2. Then move the zip file to the phone internal storage
  3. Make sure the custom recovery is installed in your phone
  4. Now put the Redmi 9 to recovery mode by tapping on install from TWRP recovery page
  5. Now look at the SuperSU zip file from the internal storage and selected by swipe to install Then flash the Lazyflasher zip file otherwise the phone will not reboot
