Hyundai launches Elite i20 Facelift at Auto Expo 2018

The Auto Expo 2018 has already started from 7th of February (Wednesday) and almost all car manufacturers across the country have started showcasing their new products in the show. The country’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai which is specialized in passenger cars, has also unveiled its new car the Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift in the event.

Now because the car is labeled Facelift, accordingly it has got some both exterior and interior facelifting. At the exterior the manufacturer has added new bumpers with a wider chin and the signature cascade grille which is equivalent to the premium class sedans like Verna and Elantra. Headlamps of the car are redefined with more chrome inserts and projector units and the alloys from the side gives the car a premium look like the Mercedes Benz A-Class hatchback.

Rear of the car is all the more upgraded and revamped with an upgraded design, new tail lamps, new license plate and bumper of the car somehow looks equal to the Grand i10 Grand with faux mesh design. Interior of the car is boosted with a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car runs on the same 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine with both 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gear box options. Diesel variant of the car drops to 1.4-litre engine which produces 89bhp with 220Nm of torque and a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The car is quite good in terms of safety purpose as it carries 6 airbags, parking assistance and auto door lock at high speed. Petrol variant of the Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift costs at Rs 5.35 lakhs  to Rs 7.91 lakhs and the diesel variant is priced between Rs 6.73 – Rs 9.16 lakh.
