Pre-Requirements

• Realme Narzo 20
• Windows PC
• You must have a network with 4G connectivity on your PC or laptop what you are using to download files from here
• The original USB cable must be used or else the device will not get detected
• Battery power must be roughly 40% or more to stay away from automatic shutdown
• Enable the USB Debugging by Settings > Applications > Development and tick the USB Debugging box. Afterwards, untick the USB Debugging box for security grounds
• Back up all the personal data present on the phone through backup apps

How to Unlock the bootloader Narzo 20 without using PC

1. Check the latest OS by going to Settings> About>Software Update
2. After that open the Unlock Tool APK and then tap on the Start application
3. Accept the agreement and tap on Submit Application
4. Realme Server checks the application for 1 hour so you need to keep patience.
5. The messages appear Review Successful in the app, then proceed to unlock the bootloader
6. Tap on Start the in-depth test from the app that will automatically reboot the phone to Fastboot mode.
7. Check whether the fast boot_unlock_verify ok string appears on the display

Steps to be performed on PC

1. Download and set up the SDK platform tool on PC.
2. Then extract the download zip with poper unzipping software on PC
3. Open the extracted folder and type cmd on the address bar and hit the enter to open CMD
4. Then press enter and a command window open that means you need to connect the Narzo 20 with a USB cable.
5. Then type the following command to reboot the device to bootloader mode.

Adb reboot bootloader

6. Then press enter and type the next command that is

Fastboot flashing unlock

7. The above command will unlock the Realme phone bootloader.
8. Come back to the phone and press the volume down key to select Unlock The Bootloader and then press the power button to confirm.

You have now successfully unlocked the bootloader of Realme Narzo 20.

Extract Vbmeta.img & boot.img file from Realme Narzo 20 Stock ROM

1. First, download the Realme Narzo 20 Firmware on your PC from above given link
2. Then copy the firmware to your windows for convenience
3. After that extract, the ROM .ozip file using proper extractor app from the Google play store
4. Next copy the img file to your computer.

Root Realme Narzo 20 Pro Using Magisk

This rooting won’t stop OTA update to hit your phone, so without any fear root your device now because it will open up several benefits.

1. First, download the Magik Zip and manager apk on your phone
2. Then move the Magisk zip file to sd card or internal memory
3. Then copy boot.img file from the extracted folder that is placed in internal memory
4. Now install the Magisk App apk file and tap INSTALL
5. Tap on the Select and Patch a File option and locate the img file
6. Wait for the Magisk patches the boot image, which can be found in the Downloads folder.
7. Then rename magisk_patched.img to img again.
8. Now Copy that renamed img to your computer.

Replace the phone’s current boot image with Magisk patched image

1. Return to the command window and type the following command to boot the Narzo 20 to fast boot mode

Adb reboot bootloader

2. Now drag and drop the vbmeta.img file and paste it to the platforms folder and then run the below command

fastboot –disable-verity –disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

3. Type the command to flash the patched boot file into your Narzo 20

Fastboot flash boot boot.img

4. Once the process is complete then type the below command to reboot the device

Fastboot reboot

5. Open the Magisk app and check all green

You have successfully rooted Realme Narzo 20 Pro easily.

Check the device is rooted or not

First of all download the Root Checker App from Google Play Store.

Then Open the App → Click Verify Root

Now, here you will see the message “Congratulations! Root access is properly installed on this device” if your device has been successfully rooted.

Unroot Realme Narzo 20

If you want to unroot the device then open the Magisk manager app then click on the Uninstall. After few seconds a popup screen with a complete uninstall message appears. The app will ask the permission so you need to grant it to unroot Narzo 20 Pro. Automatically the unrooting package will get downloaded and the phone reboot.
