Merging of Airtel Digital and Dish TV has become evident and with this Dish TV is going to stand as the largest DTH (Direct To Home) company of the country. At this moment, Tata Sky is leading the market scenario as the No.1 DTH company in the country.
As conveys a report from Economics Times, the three companies Bharti Airtel’s direct-to-home (DTH) unit Airtel Digital TV, Essel Group’s Dish TV and private equity firm Warburg Pincus have agreed to the undergo the deal. But nothing has been revealed about the merger amount.
In the year 2017, Airtel sold 20 per cent stake to Bharti Telemedia for $ 350 i.e. $ 34 million to Warburg Pincus. Sources say that the company will continue to invest even after this merger.
