How to Update Samsung Galaxy J7 to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow J700MUBU2BPL1 Firmware

The Samsung Galaxy J7 bearing the model number SM-J700M though was launched with the powerful stock Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, still it’s getting upgraded to the newest version of Marshmallow. Update Samsung Galaxy J7 to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

  1. First make sure that the device is not rooted and then make the backup. If it’s rooted then you may or may not get the exact result. It’s totally unexpected.
  2. Then download the Marshmallow Firmware for your Smartphone and after download Odin. Do not rename it.
  3. After extract both the downloaded files on your PC and place them on the desktop to find easily while updating.
  4.  Switch off the Samsung Galaxy J7 and press the VOL DOWN KEY+OK BUTTON+POWER BUTTON to land your Smartphone into download mode. When a warning message appears, press the VOL UP KEY to move to the next step.
  5. Now double click on Odin to launch it and then with the help of USB, connect the Samsung Galaxy J7 Smartphone to your PC. Soon as the ID:COM box in Odin turns yellow indicating that the device is connected. If this doesn’t happen then you must not have enabled the USB Debugging option. To do so, go to Settings>Applications> Development>USB debugging and KIES.

  7. The update procedure will start now and will take few minutes. The phone will be off and reboot automatically. Then unplug the cable and go easy with the official updated process.
