Undoubtedly, the first generation Maruti Wagnor was one of the most favorites of the car owners. This car had won accolades from many due to its height and comfort. And now the Maruti lovers will be glad to know that the newly launched Maruti Wagnor R has also won hearts as in the first week of the launch the car has got more than 16000 bookings. The Maruti Wagnor R was launched on 23rd of this month.
On 14 January this year Maruti had started booking of this car and during the launch event on January 23rd Maruti announced that the car had already got 12000 bookings. The new Maruti Wagnor has been built on the same Tall Boy technology like the former and will be sold across the country via Arena dealership. This new car has been built using the hi-tech technology used for the other first line Maruti cars like Swift, Ignis, Baleno and Ertiga as a result of which this cars seems bit taller than the previous one.

At the same time due to high demand, waiting period of the car has extended significantly. Of course the company has not made any revelations about the waiting period. But it seems, it will definitely go beyond a month. The waiting period also depends on the variants of the car. At this moment the car is available only two engine variants i.e. 1.0 liter and 1.2 liter.
The new Wagon R comes packed with a K10B 998cc Petrol Engine which churns out 67 bhp power on 5500 RPM and generates 90 NM torque on 3500 RMP. The 1 liter Engine supports 5 speed manual transmission with auto gear shift option too.
The 1.2 liter Petrol Engine is only available for top variant of cars such as Vxi and ZX. This Engine is 4 cylinder supported and is of 1197 cc which can churn out 84 bhp power on 6000 RPM and generates 112 NM torque on 4200 RMP. This variant also supports 5 speed manual transmission with auto gear shift option.

The 1 ltr Engine variant of the new Wagon R can run 22.5 kilometer per liter and the 1.2 ltr Engine can run 21.5 kilometer per 1 liter petrol. The New Wagnor R price ranges from 4.19 lakh to 5.69 lakh.
