Suzuki launches the Swish 125 with some modifications. The new Suzuki Swish 125 is expected to compete against the best selling Activa from Honda. Swish125 has a aerodynamic design which reduces the drag force acting on it and allows your scooter to run swiftly and smartly on the roads. It has got attractive graphics and offers many colours to choose from. The Swish is available in five attractive colours – Pearl Glacier White (YWW), Glass Sparkle Black (YVB), Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black (APT), Candy Antares Red/ Glass Sparkle Black (APS) and Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black (KEL).It has got stylish tail lights, trendy silencer cover. Suzuki says it has been designed keeping in mind, the needs of the younger generation.
[highlight]Suzuki Swish has a 125cc, 4- stroke engine delivering a maximum power of 8.58bhp and a maximum torque of 9.8 [/highlight]Nm to the wheels. It comes with both kick and self start and uses a CVT transmission system. The front suspension is a telescopic coil spring suspension and the rear has a swing arm type coil spring suspension. It uses drum type brakes. It has got a fuel tank capacity of 6 litres and has a huge underseat space about 20L. So you can keep your necessities and also need not carry your helmet in your hand as you can just lock it up inside the vehicle. The Swish 125 weighs about 110kg.
The changes made in the updated Swish 125 are in the graphics of the body and availability of many new colour options. It has got a new instrument panel too. As the Swish 125 is launched to compete against the Activa 125, it has been priced about Rs 5000 lesser than the Activa. It is priced at Rs 57,271 (on-road, Mumbai) which is lower than the Honda Activa 125 whose standard model has been priced at Rs 62,276 (on-road, Mumbai)
Though the smart looks attract the youngsters but the performance and durability offers a perfect choice for the middle aged adults. It thus gives a good economy, has appealing looks and is also an affordable scooter in the 125cc segment. Suzuki can expect some good business in the Indian market with the new Swish 125.
