Tutorial to Update Galaxy S21 SM-G991B with G991BXXU3AUE1 FIRMWARE in India

Good news for Indian Samsung Galaxy S21 users as they can update their system software with latest Android 11 version. This update is only for model holding SM-G991B only.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 has various models including the 5G and FE. This is only for S21 model PDA G991BXXU3AUE1 and CSC G991BOXM3AUE1. If you have recently rooted the device and want to unroot then flashing the Odin tool onto the device is best choice. You will get the warranty back as well as the phone becomes as it was earlier.

Caution

Make sure to cross check the Name and model of your Smartphone before starting the update since it’s only meant for the said device. Using the firmware on other handsets might brick your handset or even create bugs in it. Pre-requisites

  • Samsung Galaxy S21 SM-G991B
  • Original USB Cable
  • Enable USB Debugging Mode. You will find the option in the Developer Section of your device. By pressing built number for 7 time
  • Back Up all important data in your Smartphone since the update will erase all your data.
  • Keep at least 70% battery back up on your Samsung Galaxy S21 to avoid accidental shut down during installation.
  • Make sure you install the latest firmware on SM-G991B model only
  • Make sure, the SAMSUNG-drivers are installed on your PC
  • Download Odin3-v3.14.4.zip file keep in PC
  • Download Android 11 G991BXXU3AUE1 Firmware keep in PC

Tutorial to Update on Samsung Galaxy SM-G991B

  1. Download Android 11 G991BXXU3AUE1 Firmware for Samsung Galaxy S21 SM-G991B. Then extract the firmware file you just downloaded in your PC. You should get 5 files.

AP (System &Recovery)

BL (Bootloader)

CP (Modem / Radio)

CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)

HOME_CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)

2. Now add each file to its relevant field in Odin v3.14.4. If you want to do a clean flash than Use CSC_*** or if you want to keep your apps and data then add in HOME_CSC_***.

3. Switch off the device and then reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode pressing the POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY

4. If the above options did not work then try 5 more method by pressing;

  • VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP then USB cable
  • POWER + VOLUME DOWN + VOLUME UP
  • POWER + VOLUME DOWN + HOME BUTTON
  • (Note9) USB cable + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
  • (Note10) POWER + VOLUME UP

5. Once you are in download mode than connect your phone to the PC, if possible use the original USB cable you got with your phone.

6. A BLUE box will show up with the COM port number when the Odin gets detected in your device.

7. Make sure you don’t tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot only.

8. After that click on the start button, wait for Odin to say ‘PASS ‘in a GREEN box.

9. Once the flash is completed then your phone will reboot and then disconnect your phone from the PC

10. Now again go to ODIN in PC and there you get AP (System &Recovery) get Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 1 file MD5-file in AP-field in Odin and add that.

11. Reboot your phone in Download mode by pressing the POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY

12. Once you are in download mode than connect your phone to the PC, if possible use the original USB cable you got with your phone.

13. A BLUE box will show up with the COM port number when the Odin gets detected in your device.

14. Make sure you don’t tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot only.

15. After that click on the start button, wait for Odin to say ‘PASS ‘in a GREEN box.

Voila! The Samsung Galaxy S21 SM-G991B IND version is updated with G991BXXU3AUE1 Firmware for Indian users.
