As of today, all Google One members are now eligible for VPN access at no extra cost. For those unfamiliar with VPNs, they essentially create a secure, encrypted connection between your device and the internet. While using open Wi-Fi networks or accessing sensitive information online, this extra layer of protection and privacy is crucial.

Before, Google One subscribers could use a VPN, but it required a separate membership. Soon, all subscribers will have access to Google’s VPN without any additional payments. For people who respect their online privacy and wish to keep their personal information safe from prying eyes, this is a game-changer.

Owners of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro may now get VPN service for free, whereas it was previously only available to Google One premium tier subscribers who chose 2TB plans and higher.

Speed and simplicity of usage are what distinguish Google’s VPN from other VPN providers. You may start browsing with more security by enabling the VPN on your device with only a few steps. You may surf and stream without any lag or buffering because Google’s VPN doesn’t reduce your internet speed.

But why is online privacy so important?

The answer is simple: cybercriminals and hackers are always looking for new ways to acquire sensitive data like credit card numbers and passwords. Since those public Wi-Fi networks sometimes lack adequate encryption and security safeguards, they are extremely prone to these kinds of assaults.

With Google’s VPN, you can rest assured that your personal information is safe and secure. Whether you’re browsing at a coffee shop, airport, or hotel, you can connect to the internet with peace of mind. Plus, if you’re traveling abroad and want to access content that’s not available in your home country, you can easily connect to a server in a different location and bypass geolocation restrictions.

The VPN is offered for Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac devices and is accessible in 22 countries starting with the Google One basic package and continuing up to the premium tier. In addition, Google claims that users can use the Google One membership plan to share the VPN with up to five more people.

Google is now introducing dark web surveillance for all Google One users in the U.S. in addition to the new perk. All participants in the programme who use Android devices can check or scan for personal data, including name, address, email, phone number, and Social Security number, to determine if any of it is compromised.

The addition of  VPN to Google One’s list will benefit many. With so many online threats and privacy concerns, it’s more important than ever to take steps to protect your personal information. And with Google’s fast, easy-to-use VPN, it’s never been easier to stay safe and secure online.
