Maruti, the other leading car manufacturer in the country has often blessed its customers with valuable and noteworthy cars in almost all segments and now the giant and is all set to replace its most eligible Sedan Maruti Suzuki SX4 with a brand new executive car which is under testing now with the codename YL1. Though the manufacturer is reluctant to reveal anything on this upcoming segment, but kudos to the leaks and spy images that we have ample information to discuss on the vehicle.
What the latest reports reveal, the car made its debut at the Sanghai Motor Show early this month and pics of the car make it evident that the car is unique in its design with an aggressive front fascia, with trapezoidal front grille. Ample amount of chrome with angular & long-drawn-out headlamps make the grille more decorative. In comparison to the existing SX4, the car will be bit bigger in dimension but will lack little in height. The manufacturers have also equally prioritized on the rear font of the car that looks equally aggressive with lamps that run into the tailgate that has multiple creases.
Since belonging to the Ertga platform, the car is expected to come under the economy scale which is expected to range between RS. 7.5 – 10.50 lakhs. Also it’s expected that the car will get the equally all-beige treatment like Ertiga in matters of interior and will of course be spacious like the SX4. Reports covey that cabin of the car will be ergonomic will be comfortable for three adults to sit inside in the rear bench.
Among other rich features, the YL1 will include an all pre-set music system, Bluetooth, multimedia, cooled glove box, Steering mounted audio control, door pockets and an AC with Climate control feature. It’s also expected that the car might pack a premium package with leather seats with specialized safety features like ABS-EBD and two airbags. While petrol version of the car will be powered by the 1.4-litre K-Series engine from the Ertiga with the capability to produce 93bhp and 130Nm of torque, the diesel variant will carry on using the 1.3-litre turbocharged multi jet mill with the capacity of 90bhp and 200NM of torque. Base variants of the car will support five-speed manual transmission, while the top-end variant will get the option of AT.
Now we have to wait furthermore to get some official info on the beautiful car from Maruti Suzuki. While the car is expected to make its market entry in September this year, it has already been unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014. Let’s have a look on these eloquent pics of the car.
