The Xiaomi Mi 5 is the upcoming Smartphone scheduled to launch on February 24 at the MWC 2016 and is already in buzz for its expected high-end features and specs. But to make it more viral and create curiosity among the readers, Hugo Barra, the founder of Xiaomi lately posted a screenshot of the Xiaomi Mi 5 home screen with a text that reads “Here’s a little sneak preview of my #Mi5 home screen. Can your eagle eyes spot what’s new with Mi and coming to you on February 24?”
Well, this is crystal clear that through his post he wanted to make his upcoming device more concentrated and more focused. And of course it’s not that much a tough task to understand what are the key features he is trying to signify through his screenshot. What we mark, Hugo Barra has tried to identify specially three features i.e. Display resolution, NFC connectivity, and dual-SIM slots. These features can prominently be marked on the screen shot given by the Founder.
Starting with the first feature i.e. the Dual-SIM slots, before the Xiaomi Mi 5 was on news of supporting Dual SIM slots and the same can be marked on the right top corner of the Smartphone. Also the handset is in news of featuring a microSD slot. So we assume perhaps the handset will support Hybrid dual-SIM setup. The Hybrid dual-SIM feature permit users to use the second SIM either as SIM or microSD. Why we assume this feature in the Xiaomi Mi 5 because most of the manufacturers opt for this option now a days.

Besides, both the SIM cards are seen also on 4G and CDMA 1x networks on the screenshot which might be especially meant for China. But this Dual SIM feature might prove to be a too positive point for the Xiaomi Mi 5 as the biggest manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung also lack this facility on their flagship models. Apart, you can easily mark the NFC logo on the notification panel for which the Smartphone was on reports. For the display, the Smartphone is about to pack a full HD display with a 1920×1080 pixels resolution and it’s evident from the screenshot.
It’s assumed that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be made available in a couple of variants i.e. the all metal and premium glass which is supposed to pack a 2K QHD display. The handset is on rumor to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, pack 16MP primary camera with LED flash and 8MP secondary camera, is supposed to pack 3GB of RAM with 32GB on-board storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage space. The Smartphone is supposed to run on MIUI 7 and support a fingerprint scanner with a 3,600mAh battery. However, it’s also heard that the Xiaomi Mi 5 might have a Windows 10 variant.
But everything will be clear on February 24 when the handset will be made to public. So we have to wait up to Feb 24 to get further details on the Smartphone.
