The Nothing Phone 2a was launched in India on March 5 and went on sale on March 12. Today is 15 March and the handset has started receiving its first Android update. It might seem too early, but the update aims at fixing the existing bugs in the device and enhances productivity.
The update has been rolled via OTA and might reach your handset at anytime. You can go to Settings > Software Update to check availability manually, in case auto update has not been activated on your device. The update version named NothingOS 2.5.3 which is an update to the Smartphone default OS NothingOS 2.5, adds some major upgrades to the phone’s camera existence including support for the Ultra HDR feature and the XDR display effect supported in Google Photos.
Besides, it creates a shortcut widget for the camera application. Among other camera improvisations, the camera watermark shows the focal length of the image, enhances Raw HDR photography effects, adds color saturation, selfie camera clarity, and EIS/OIS effects. The update fixes bugs related to the fingerprint unlock function, enhances overall performance of the Smartphone including the touchscreen experience, memory usage strategy, vibration effects and charging adapter compatibility. The NothingOS 2.5.3 also adds a new recorder widget to the device.
