The two largest telecom Operators in global phenomena, Reliance Jio and Bharati Airtel have recently joined hands together to share their infrastructure arrangement and hence the two companies have recently announced the memorandum on this. No sooner the Reliance Industries Chairperson Mukesh Ambani did announce the probability of Reliance making a partnership with Airtel, the leading telco of India Bharati Airtel did make the announcement on its end.
As per the recent deal, the duo would use each other’s infrastructure i.e. submarine cable networks, optic fibre, internet broadband services and towers. Ensuring the essence of the deal, the two telecom giants announced a joint statement that reads “The cooperation is aimed at avoiding duplication of infrastructure, wherever possible, and to preserve capital and the environment. This will also provide redundancy in order to ensure seamless services to customers of the respective parties”.
However, it’s just the beginning and the deal is not limited in using arrangement like optic fibre or towers only, in the coming date sit might further raise to products such as Roaming on 2G, 3G & 4G services and other telecommunicating areas that is liable to bring profit for the two majors. Prices for the usage and deal would be decided as per the contemporary market rate and would be at ‘arm’s length’. As per this latest agreement, Bharati Airtel has already initiated the first step by providing capacity on its i2i submarine cable to Reliance Jio.
So, this agreement which has just been turned into a deal is supposed to bring huge future prospects for both the brands and telecom users of both the operators might expect to get some additional benefits from this profit making deal of Bharati Airtel & Reliance Jio. So, now it’s to be seen to what extent this sharing goes on bringing what sort of benefits to the users.
