Indian Army to get Country styled Hummer soon, Photos leaked during testing

The Indian Army is soon going to get Country styled Hummer soon. The popular Indian car manufacturer Tata Motors is manufacturing this car from the Indian army. Specialty of the vehicle is that it can run on all type of road conditions and in all type of climates. This vehicle was recently seen at the Mumbai-Pune highway during testing. The American army is already using Hammer, one of the most expensive vehicles across the globe which is much popular for its off-road features.

This country made Hummer is being manufactured by Tata Motors for the India Army from the previous year. This vehicle is code-named Tata Merlin which is a Light Support Vehicle and looks like a beast on the road. It’s being made up of Nate standard and it will not at all get affected by artillery, grenade or even Mine blast.

The Tata Merline will support 4×4 four wheel drive system and because it supports advanced Central Tyre Inflation System, so it can also run on flat tyres. The advanced tyre system makes sure that the pressure in the tyres can be reduced to get more traction and then air can be filled in the tyres without any external source. Of course it depends on the condition of the road.

For breaking system, the Tata Merlin supports vacuum assisted breaks with hydraulic boosters and all the four wheels support separate suspension. The Merlin has military standard doors and bullet proof windows. It’s roof has a turret to hold a 7.5 mm machine gun and it has also a 40mm automatic Grenade launcher. With that it has facility to install an anti tank missile. It has also a large wheel base with additional wheels.

The Tata Merlin is powered by a 3.3-litre liquid-cooled, direct-injection diesel engine. The common rail turbo-diesel engine produces a maximum of 185 Bhp at 3,200 rpm and a peak torque of 450 Nm at 2,400 rpm.
