Jio AirFiber announced; Check details on price, launch date and benefits
Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries yesterday announced launch of Jio AirFiber at the AGM 2023. The company is planning to launch the service on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The wait is over and Reliance Jio is all set to launch its out-of-the-box wireless internet service Jio AirFiber on 19 September 2023 in India. Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries yesterday announced the same at the AGM 2023. The company is planning to launch the service on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Initially, the company had announced about Jio AirFiber on its 45th AGM, the previous year. The product is intended to provide wireless internet service to users at an equivalent speed compared to the fiber-optic connections. This will help the users to use a range of applications with low latency and high bandwidth including streaming video, gaming, and video conferencing. Other features of the service includes parental controls, support for Wi-Fi 6 etc.
Now if you wonder what is Jio AirFiber, it’s a new wireless internet service that uses 5G technology to provide internet speed up to 1.5Gbps. The best part is, you only have to plug the Jio AirFiber and turn it on to complete the installation process. It will really be easy to connect to Gigabit-speed Internet if have a pre-installed 5G connection at your home. Further, the service can cover up to 1000 square feet on the same floor of a house or office which will really make its usage reliable and extensive.
According to a report by ET Telceom, the Jio AirFiber may cost somewhere around Rs 6000 which is approx. 20 percent lower than other available devices in the market. To get more detailed insights of the product we have to wait till September 19, the day on which the device will be launched.
