On the occasion of completing 30 years of M5, BMW has decided to roll out a special edition of the present day model. The BMW M5 jahre Edition is well equipped with a 4.4-litre V8 engine having M twin power Turbo Technology. It is a super powered beast delivering 600bhp and 700 N-m of high torque which drags 0 to 100kmph in just 3.9 seconds. It reaches a top speed of 250kmph and a thrilling 305kmph with inclusion of the competition package which comes as a standard feature for this car.
The Competition Package comprises modifications including a revised chassis set-up with firmer spring and damper tuning and a 10-millimetre drop in ride height. The Active M Differential on the final drive has its own control unit to enhance the traction of the vehicle. The steering incorporates M-specific Servotronic function and has more direct mapping feature. And the M Dynamic Mode of the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system is centered more sharply on delivering high end sporty handling.
The car is coated with a metallic Dark Silver paint. The gills get a new ’30 Jahre M5’ Badge on the front wing .The black crome dual exhaust tailpipes and the door handle inserts are pretty attractive. The frontal seats have the M Sport multifunction seats covered in Individual Black Alcantara and Full Merino leather. Alcantara Anthracite adorns the M Sport steering wheel, the centre console and door panels. The ‘30 Jahre M5’ logo is also inscribed onto the backrests of all four sedan seats. The added brilliance to the current luxury makes this collector model a sure shot hot seller.
Along with the special package, this BMW also features standard equipments such as Adaptive LED Headlights, Comfort Access with smart opener, Driving Assistant, lumbar support and split folding rear seats with additional 12 volt power sockets. It comes with a option of choosing between a Harman Kardon music system with output of 600 watts and a 1,200-watt Bang & Olufsen high-end surround-sound system. So you will get your ears booming and body thumping.
