The Tata Punch’s 1.2-liter gasoline engine with naturally aspirated combustion generates a maximum of 86 PS and a maximum torque of 113 Nm, propelling the vehicle. Higher trim levels of the vehicle offer an upgrade option from the standard 5-speed manual gearbox to a 5-speed AMT transmission. A 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 110 PS of top power and 140 Nm of top torque is also available in the Punch. The engine is connected to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The Tata Punch has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 4-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity are all included with the system.
