New Yamaha Fazer 2.0 with an efficient Blue core engine

Yamaha launched  the updated Fazer FI version 2.0 in India at a price of  Rs.83,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).The Festive season in India is on. Many will be looking for a new vehicle to purchase and bring it to their home in this auspicious period. If you love bikes, then the new updated Yamaha Fazer 2.0 with a more efficient engine and looks can be the answer. What’s new in this new in the Fazer Fi 2.0?  The new stylish revamped Fazer’s headlamp enclosed in the fairing , new side panels. The bulky bike gets new graphics and a tweaked engine. The muscular Fazer 2.0 will be offered in Three colours – White Cloud , Red Dawn, and Black Hawk. The deluxe bike Fazer 2.0 is targeted at the younger generation who look for muscular style, comfort and power.

Apart from new graphics and headlamps, the changes Yamaha has brought in this new version are  a new instrument panel that sports an Eco indicator, it receives an updated chassis loaded with new front and rear suspension and it also new puncture resistant tyres.  It comes with Designed Tandem Seat & Grab bar for good rider comfort

The Fazer FI 2.0 comes with ‘Blue Core’ technology in its engine, Yamaha had first used this in the FZ version 2.0. The prime focus of the Blue core technology is to build engines with improved combustion, reduced power loss, précised fuel supply and reduction in the overall weight.Blue Core technology incorporated in the engine claims to enhance fuel efficiency of the motorcycle without compromising on other factors like power and comfort riding. There are some minor changes in the Engine .The new FI engine of the Fazer  is lighter than the previous model. The Fazer FI 2.0 is now powered by a 149 cc engine , which is lower than the the previous version’s 153cc . This new lighter engine delivers a maximum power of 12 bhp of and a maximum torque of 12.8Nm of torque. Though, the power and torque have been reduced but the performance on road in still high. The 149cc engine is coupled with a   five-speed gearbox.

Yamaha claims that this Blue Core engine turns out to be 14 per cent more fuel efficient than the previous 153cc engine. There is reduction in the weight of this bike which also contributes to lower fuel consumption.
