Tata Motors all set to launch it’s brand new car Tata Bolt Hatchback in Indian Market

Tata motors, the home-grown automaker, has high hopes from its new breed of cars that are fresh in design and come with the new age-technologies, something which we have been eagerly waiting for. The model that has been given the massive task of paving the road to a new direction is the Tata Bolt Hatchback that was recently previewed at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. To replace the ageing vista platform Tata motors has developed the Bolt Hatchback which looks like an evolution of the Tata Indica shape.

Tata Bolt will lock horns with Maruti Suzuki Swift, Honda Bro and Hyundai Grand i10. To provide best services to the customers Tata Motors has hired around 3000 staff across the country. The company has also provided video walls and tablet PCs to the sales representatives to provide world class customer services. The Hatch carries first in class 5-inch touch screen infotainment system powered by Harman audio system and turbocharged Revotron petrol engine.

The car is also available in diesel fuel trim powered by Quadra jet engine. This next-generation global car from Tata Motors showcases the new DNA of the company and boasts of newness in terms of design (Design Next), drivability (Drive Next) and connectivity (Connect Next). The company says the name Bolt itself signifies speed and represents, according to the company, a winner’s attitude.

Exterior

Tata Motors is focussing much stronger on the design of its new car to woo back customer, who are fed-up with the same design that most Tata cars carried till now. At the front it will give an aggressive fascia, new grill and sleek shaped headlights that stretch from the middle of the bonnet to the grille. The side profile seems more promising with bolt character lines that runs through the entire body up to the end, giving Bolt a flagship Tata look along with a slight hint of sportiness. The car has been designed taking inputs from the three Tata Motor’s design studio in Pune, Coventry (UK) and Turin (Italy).

Interior

The new design language gives a new character to the car. The interior looks much better than the Vista with substantial changes like black and optional colour combination shade, silver trim inserts, newly designed steering wheels, redesigned instrument cluster with integrated multi-information display, updated A/c vent design and few more. It’s evident that Tata has paid careful attention to everything that you touch and move in the Bolt Hatchback.

Engine

In terms of engine, Tata will offer this hatchback with the 1.2 litre Revtron engine which is petrol powered and will produce 84 Bhp and 140 Nm of torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is the 1.3 litre Quadra jet diesel. Mated to the first – in class F – Tornic technology enabled 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). It has been expected that Tata will price the Bolt in the range of Rs 4.6 lakh – Rs 6.6 lakh and it will have four petrol and three diesel variants.

While this new tiny revolution from Tata is assumed to hit the Indian market at the earliest, everyone must be eagerly waiting to see how soon it’s being accepted by the users. What you think? Will it be versatile like it’s Indica segment?
