Nissan launches Terrano Anniversary Edition in India

Nissan has launched a limited edition of the Terrano called the Terrano Anniversary Edition. In India Nissan Terrano has completed it’s one year and to mark this occasion the company has launched a limited edition of the  compact SUV. The Anniversary Edition features some cosmetic changes and additional equipments. The Terrano Anniversary Edition will be limited to just 450 production units and will be available in six colours and two variants – XVD THP and XVD THP Premium. The upgrades will be inside – out and will come with 110 Ps diesels in XV THP and XV THP Premium trims. “The Terrano is our first compact SUV in India and the torchbearer of our SUV heritage. The response to the Terrano has been overwhelming. This limited ‘Anniversary Edition’ is an invitation to our customers to celebrate Terrano’s success,” said Mr. Guillaume Sicard, President – Nissan India Operations. Now let’s take a look on the different aspects and features of the new compact SUV.

Exterior

The exterior of the new car features twin racing stripes on the bonnet, blacked – out roof door mirrors and door pillars and a rear spoiler. The SUV gets side steps for improved ingress and gress, chrome garnish on the tailgate and door handles and anniversary edition badges. The cosmetic upgrades include a black coloured roof, black coloured dual stripes on the front bonnet, blackened pillars and ORVMs. The Anniversary Edition is dressed in a choice of six colours which includes: Blade Silver, Bronze Grey, Fire Red, Pearl White, Sterling Grey and storm White respectively.

Interior

The inside of the car will come with a head – up display unit which can be paired with navigation apps on smart phones via Bluetooth and displays directions along with the time and vehicle speed. The XV DHP is equipped with reverse parking sensors, leather wrapped steering wheels and gear knob and height adjustable driver’s seat. The XVD THP Premium gets all the features of XVD and adds leather seats, wood finish on the door armrests and door strips.

Engine

The anniversary edition will be available with the 110 Ps diesels, 1.5 litre K9K diesel with variable – geometry turbo inter – cooled diesel that gathers 108.5 bhp (110 Ps) of power at 3900 rpm and 248 Nm of peak torque at 2250 rpm. The motor is mated to a six – speed manual transmission and delivers an ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.01 km/l.

Price

The Nissan Terrano Anniversary Edition is priced at Rs 12.83 lakh for the XVD and Rs 13.3 lakh for the Premium variant (both prices, ex- showroom, Delhi). The booking of Terrano Anniversary Edition can be done online at Nissan India’s official website at a booking amount of just Rs 10,000.

While it’s already revealed from the company source that there is huge response to the newly launched Terrano SUV in India, so we are eager to watch if the limited edition is going to multiply its production units and share some good bit of market share in the Indian automobile industry!
