How to change in Android

To change the default Google Maps voice in Android, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Tap your profile picture or initial in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap Navigation settings.
  5. Under Voice, tap Voice selection.
  6. Select the voice you want to use.
  7. Tap Back to save your changes.

How to change in iPhone

Unlike Android, there is no such way to change Google Maps voice in iPhone Settings. You need to change the default system language. Of course, it might not be convenient for everyone, but can be done it you love to listen and read in the regional language.

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Language & Region.
  4. Tap Add Language.
  5. Select the language you want to add.
  6. Tap Add.
  7. Drag the language you want to set as default to the top of the list.
  8. Tap Continue to confirm your decision.

Now iOS will apply your preferred language throughout the system. Your device will be restarted and the default language will be changed, enabling you to listen and read the language of your choice.
