Hero Harley Bike: Next financial year to see the first Hero-Harley Motorcycle in Indian markets

In spite of a steep hike in the price of motorcycles in the last few months, a huge surge in demand for the same has been witnessed in the Indian market. Though the middle-ranged segment has always been the first choice of the teenagers, but a variation is being seen in the interest factor of the common day youth. Keeping this fact in mind, the Milwaukee-based brand Harley and popular Indian brand Hero MotoCrop have joined hands to introduce their first Motorcycle in India in the next financial year.

While the upcoming Motorcycle will be from the middleweight segment, it will target 350 cc to 850 cc space and will be rolled in India by the end of the FY 2023-24. Both the companies are planning to sell the bikes in separate dealerships. The motorcycles will belong to the “volume and profitable segments of the premium” end, said Niranjan Gupta, chief financial officer, Hero MotoCorp in an Investors meet.

Sources convey that this will be the first venture of the Hero-Harley partnership that was signed a couple of years ago. The mid-weight segment powertrain is already in advanced stages of development and will be suitable for a variety of customers with a unique style and across different price segments.

Because most of the customers, even the youngsters don’t hesitate to invest more than 1.5 lakh for motorcycles these days, so it might be a huge success in India. Nothing has been revealed about the features and price of the motorcycle.
