Hyundai i20 Active to be launched on 18th March

Hyundai has finally revealed the official launch date for its new vehicle. The Hyundi i20 Active will be launched on the 18th March.  Looking at the design and styling we can say that the i20 Active is a muscular version of i20. We see many improvements and changes in the Exterior.  The i20 Active will sport full-body black plastic cladding, new skid plate, roof rails redesigned bumpers with tweaked grille and large circular fog lamps  and projector head-lamps with daytime running lamps. The i20 Active will also have  new dashing alloy wheels and will come with raised suspension that will result in better ground clearance . Thus, from the appearance the i20 has looks and design like that of a SUV. We have to wait for some more time to know about all other features .

Well, we are expecting that everything under the hood will remain the same as in the hatchback. The i20 active petrol variants will be powered by a 1.2-litre Dual VTVT Kappa engine that delivers a maximum power of 82 bhp and a maximum torque of 115 Nm. While the diesel variants will be powered by the 1.4-litre U2 CRDi engine that churns out 89 bhp of maximum power and 220Nm of maximum torque.The vehicle is framed on the earlier launched Elite i20. The new i20 active will be pitched against competing against Toyota Etios Cross Fiat Avventura and Volkswagen Cross Polo.

Hyundai has now rolled out the Blue Link app that enables users control their cars from an Android Wear device like smartwatches. This app will definitely make your smart android wear smarter It is now available in the Play Store. This app is about 20MB in size and requires Android 4.0 and higher. The app is compatible with all first and second generation Hyundai cars with Blue Link services installed, and unfortunately can’t be retrofit into cars without the technology built-in.

 Now, let’s see how the app controls the vehicle. You can access all the functions using a couple of taps or voice commands directly from the Android Wear device. These will be the features the Blue Link app Remote Engine Start and Stop, Remote Door Lock and Unlock, Remote Flash Lights , Honk Horn, Car Finder. Apart from these users can search and send points of interest to the vehicle, make a car care service appointment , access maintenance information and also access blue link customer care.This is great app, now users will have all the control of their vehicle on their wrists.
