If you own a Yamaha Fascino 125 or a Yamaha RayZR 125 scooter then this Yamaha recall might be for you. The Japan based bike major has effected a recall or these two scooters due to an issue in the front break.
In an official press note on their official website, the Company wrote, “This information is in accordance with the requirements of our parent company Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., Japan, who have determined that a defect, which relates to Brake caliper function may exist in few Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 scooters within certain production numbers range.”
The Company further added, “Hence this defect must be repaired at the earliest in these scooters. For your convenience, Yamaha is initiating a Voluntary Recall Campaign, where the affected scooters must get defected parts replaced with a modified one.”
“We at Yamaha are committed to provide all necessary support to ensure that your scooter always gives you its optimum performance. Please note that the replacement of these parts shall be free of cost” the Yamaha recall note further informed.
The Company has added a column on the website where the customer can enter the vehicle Chassis number to check whether the vehicle is in affected range or not. It has added the contact details along with a number mentioning, “You may contact us at 18004201600 during work timing 08:00AM to 08:00PM from Monday to Saturday.”
Recently that is last month in December, KTM had effected a major recall of its bike across several models due to a condition that, in rare cases could cause the engine to stall at low rpms.
