Motorola Droid Razr HD Gets a Soak Test for Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update

The KitKat 4.4.2 update is soaring high in the android world no doubt and several reputed smart phone manufacturers are in the race to send out soak tests for users to try out the firmware before its official release to their systems. Owners of Droid Razr HD terminal have been receiving an email from Motorola Feedback Network to test the new firmware on their devices.

The main purpose behind the soak tests is to find out if there are any major problems with the newly updated software before its official release. Soak testing involves testing a firmware with a significant load extended over a specific period of time, to understand and experience how the firmware behaves under sustained use.

Usually, the soak tests are conducted before an official release to apprehend the performance of the software and how well it works with a phone and how it is received and reviewed by the users. From the looks of it, it can be very well assumed that the official update of Android 4.4.2 for droid Razr HD is very near in the calendar.

One can expect the typical KitKat taste from the updates that the firmware brings to Droid Razr HD. White status bar iconography, transparent status and navigation bars, movie art in the lock screen are the already-known luxuries that come with KitKat. And if the update is not reported in the notification list, the update can be checked for manually under Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check now.
