Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) lately lunched the latest 2018 edition of Dio Scooter in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs. 51,292. This scooter is also available in a modified deluxe variant which is just Rs. 2000 more and both these variants (standard and deluxe) are now available at all Honda dealers across the country in nine color options.
In the lunching ceremony of the new Honda Dio 2018, Mr. Yadvinder Singh, Senior VP, Sales and Marketing, HMIS said, “Taking ahead the 15-year-old legacy of the Dio, the 2018 avataar is available in two variants. More youthful than ever, with stylish new looks, new digital meter, three-step Eco Speed indicator and service due indicator, the new Dio raises the bar even further. The Dio is also the largest exported scooter from India, and has crossed the 5 lakh exports milestone.”

The new Honda Dio 2018 looks chic as it’s equipped with a premium LED headlamp and position lamp, a new metal muffler protector, and a four-in-one lock. Deluxe variant of the Scooter gets a digital instrument panel with three-step Eco Speed Indicator, a service reminder and gold-finished rims. Whilst the deluxe variant is available in four color options i.e. Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic, the Standard version comes with vibrant Orange, Pearl Sports Yellow, Sports Red, Candy Jazz Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic color options.
Now moving to the special features of the Honda Dio 2018, it comes powered by a 110 cc engine which can churn out maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 8.9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Dio also gets the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) feature with 10-inch wheels and 130mm drum brakes. The company claims that the bike can run at a top speed of 83 kmph.
