How to Speed up Android Smartphone without Rooting

We love to use Android Smartphones, but with the passage of time it gets slow down. But you can optimize your old Android Smartphones to work faster for you. Here are some simple but useful tips for Android phone users to maintain the speed of their phone.

Update Android OS

By updating Android OS you can fix many lag, bug, and other issues related to your Android device. To maintain the speed of your Android phone you should it regularly.

Reset Factory Setting

Reset erases everything stored in your phone and makes your device just like the new one. It is defiantly an effective way to speed up your Android phone. But before you reset your phone take a back up of all your data stored in the phone as it erases everything.

Remove Unnecessary Widgets and Shortcuts

Remove Unnecessary Widgets and Shortcuts in your android phone to free up memory space. You can remove them by long pressing and dragging them off screen.

Disable or Uninstall Unused App

If you have unused apps in your phone then it is better to uninstall or disable these apps. These apps run in the background and use the system resources that cause slowdown your phone. You can uninstall these apps, if you find the uninstall process difficult then you can disable the apps using the settings menu.

Check the internal memory space

Low internal memory may slow down your phone. So, move your media files to the external memory to free up more space in the internal memory.

Clear Your App Cache

With the passage of time your programs write to the app cache that occupies precious memory space on your phone. So, regularly clear the app cache, to clear it –go to the Settings menu-> property page-> tap the clear cache button. If it is not possible to manually clear each and every app cache on your phone, you can use additional apps, such as cache cleaner.

Many apps are available in the Google Play store to effectively speed up your android phone. You can download and install them in your phone, some useful apps are: advance task killer, Avast Mobile Security, Startup Manager, Easy cache cleaner, Apps to SD card etc.

Limit or Disable Background Data

Your email, gmail, facebook, twitter, whatsapp and backup app runs in the background and consumes your battery and system resources. You can limit or disable the background data here is how : Go to Settings -> open use data -> launch the context menu by tapping the three dots in the upper left corner of the screen or hitting the menu button (on Samsung and LG phones) -> off the Autosync data and tap Ok .

Disable background data for Gmail, Google+ and other Google Services

Goto Settings -> tap on Google under accounts -> tap the account name (if the sync icon next to the account name is green, it has sync permission. If it is gray, syncing is already disabled.)-> off all types of data syncing(email, contacts and calendar).
