How to Update Samsung Galaxy Note 10 SM-N970U to Android 9.0 N970USQU1ASHB Firmware

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 with model number SM-N970U is npw being upgraded to the new Android 9 Pie OS with security fixes and new Android Pie goodies. If you want to taste these new features and security fixes on your Smartphone, then this article is for you.

So what you have to do is to check the notification panel of your Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to get the update notification. If not hit yet, then you should not get worried as you can follow the below given manual update method to start with the update right away. The firmware carries the build name N970USQU1ASHB.

Requirement

  1. Samsung Galaxy Note 10
  2. One Computer
  3. Original USB Cable
  4. Enable USB Debugging by going to Settings. Do not forget to untick the box when the update is finished.
  5. Backup all personal data such as SMS, MMS, videos, music, apps, contacts, messages, apps etc in phone using a backup app to avoid data loss.
  6. Make sure to keep at least 50% or more to avoid automatic shutdown.

Update Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to Android 9.0

  1. Make sure the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is not rooted. Create a backup before the update.
  2. Download the Android 9.0 N970USQU1ASHB.zip  Firmware for your Smartphone and then download Odin. Do not rename it.
  3. After extract both the downloaded files to your PC and place them on desktop for easy finding during update.
  4.  Switch off the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and put it into download mode.
  5. Now double click on Odin to launch it and then with the help of USB, connect the Smartphone to your PC.
  6. Next select “PDA/AP” and choose the MD5 file from the extracted folder. Now click on the Start button.
  7. The update procedure will start instantly and will take only few minutes to complete. The phone will reboot automatically. Then unplug the cable and go easy with the official updated process.
