Apple typically follows a yearly release cycle for major updates to their operating system, with a beta version being made available to developers and testers several months in advance. Assuming that Apple maintains their usual release schedule, it’s possible that the iOS 16.4 beta may be released in the summer of 2023, with the final public release coming in the fall. However, it’s important to note that Apple may adjust their release timeline at any time, and that release dates are always subject to change.

Apple typically announces the release of new operating system versions at their Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which takes place in early June. Developers and testers can then download and install the beta version to start testing new features and providing feedback to Apple.

Features of iOS 16.4 (Expected)

The next update may contain a lot more than expected as the iOS 16.3 upgrade only brought bug fixes and stability improvements. The following are some of the highly anticipated and potential features of iOS 16.4:

1- New Emojis: Apple stated that they would include the emoji with iOS 16 during the Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2022. It may therefore ship with iOS 16.4. A light blue heart, a grey heart, a blackbird, a jellyfish, a moose, a donkey, a hair pick, a maraca, a flute, a peapod, a folding hand fan, a hyacinth, a ginger, a goose, a wing, a Khanda, and many others are among the notable anticipated emojis created by Unicode Emoj

2- Next-Generation CarPlay- Apple unveiled a peek of CarPlay’s next iteration at WWDC 2022, which would enable multiple screens, widgets, and interaction with in-car features including the instrument panel, climate controls, and FM radio. Acura, Audi, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Porsche, Volvo, and other dedicated automakers are among those whose first models will have support for the next-generation CarPlay experience, according to Apple. Later this year, Apple intends to provide more information on the upcoming CarPlay version.

3- Apple Card Savings Discount: With the Apple Card, consumers can increase their Daily Cash earnings without jeopardizing their future savings. The new savings incentive comprises a daily deposit of their cash into a Goldman Sachs high-yield savings account. The customers can then utilize that to open a new high-yield savings account, and their daily cash will be put there without their intervention. There are no fees, restrictions on minimum deposits, or demands for a minimum balance. Although there is no official release date yet, it is likely to happen shortly.

4- Web Push Notifications : In some unspecified time in 2023, Apple stated that opt-in support for web-based push notifications will be added to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. Users of the iPhone and iPad will be able to receive notifications from websites through Safari just like they can from apps thanks to this functionality.
