India’s leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra, has announced the name of its next major offering in the premium SUV segment that is the XUV 7XO. The Company gives the new SUV an exciting punchline and describes it as, “Crafted to Inspire. Engineered to Excite.”
The SUV is built on the legacy of the XUV 700, which disrupted the SUV segment in India. It had over three lakh proud owners in just a little more than four years. The Company says in the name teaser that, “the XUV 7XO elevates everything that made the XUV700 a gamechanger.”
Crafted to inspire and engineered to excite, it combines the proven strengths of the XUV700 with superior design, technology, comfort and performance. Mahindra says that the XUV 7XO is an, “SUV that’s not just evolved, but truly extraordinary.”
It has been designed to reinforce Mahindra’s leadership in the premium SUV space, the XUV 7XO is set to lead the way again for the SUVs of tomorrow.
Mahindra has created an official X handle for the new launch and shared a video saying, “Hello XUV 7XO: The new trendsetter is ready to build on the XUV700 legacy. World Premiere on 5th January, 2026. Watch this space for more updates.”
It is to be noted that after the announcement of the XUV 7XO, the car maker has decided to discontinue the Mahindra XUV 700. The announcement has been made on the official website, “the XUV700 will evolve into the XUV 7XO with its launch. While production of the XUV700 will conclude, Mahindra remains committed to full service and parts support for all XUV700 owners at authorized service centers.”

The Mahindra XUV 7XO price will start at Rs. 13.66 Lakh and the top model will go upto Rs. 24.92 Lakh. The Company promises, “The Mahindra XUV 7XO will offer a range of premium variants, advanced features, and exciting colour options.” The Mahindra xuv 7xo booking is now open.
